Sid James made his "Carry On..." debut in this film

The first "Carry On..." film to include some nudity.

The role of Sergeant Wilkins was intended for Ted Ray following his work on Carry on Teacher. However Ray was unable to commit owing to contractual problems. Chic Murray was considered, before Sid James started his full-time membership of the Carry On... team.

Eric Barker became ill after the filming of this movie. He was considered the main anchor of the "Carry On..." film during this time, however due to his illness he was only used Carry on Spying and in Carry on Emmannuelle. By 1978, the "Carry On..." team were concerned about his frailty.

Norman Hudis was sent to Slough Police Station to research the screenplay. He was very worried about the film following his experiences at the Police Station.
