No prints of this film (Alfred Hitchcock's second) are known to have survived and no one has seen it since the late 1920s. Please check your attic.
Nita Naldi fainted from exhaustion at one point during filming. She recovered almost immediately and merely complained that the floor was too hard.
The filming of exteriors in Obergurgl, Austria was delayed by heavy snow. A local fire brigade was finally persuaded to use their manual pump to wash the snow off a group of houses and the street nearby.
When interviewed by François Truffaut, Alfred Hitchcock implied that he was not sorry there are no known surviving prints; he called the movie "awful".
