Cluny Brown (1946) was a Comedy - Romance Film directed by Ernst Lubitsch and produced by Ernst Lubitsch.

SYNOPSIS

A young girl is sent away to be a maid to a wealthy, snobbish family after posing as a socially prominent young woman in order to meet a famous Czechoslovakian author. The author, who has run away from the Nazis before the outbreak of the war, stays at the family's country home. The Lubitsch touch applied to gentle social satire.
