Bright Leaf (1950) was a Drama - Romance Film directed by Michael Curtiz and produced by Henry Blanke.

SYNOPSIS

Brant Royle and his family are driven from their Kingsmont, North Carolina home by a tobacco baron, Major James Singleton, who wishes to keep his daughter away from the unseemly Royle. Royle vows to return to Kingsmont to wrest from Singleton his magnificent home, "Bright Leaf," and the hand of his beautiful daughter. When Royle manages to create and make himself the head of a cigarette-making syndicate that puts Singleton out of business, he finds himself in a strong position to make good his vow.
