It's a shame Irene Dunne didn't make more musicals. She had a lovely, warm way with a song. Here she debuts Smoke Gets in Your Eyes in Roberta (1935). Though Rogers and Astaire hijacked this musical by the closing scenes, you can see here that Dunne still makes her mark.   read more
