"Ravishing Ronald" is modeled after wrestler
Gorgeous George Wagner, who used many of the gimmicks Ronald does in this cartoon: a valet, perfume, dyed blonde hair and bobby pins. Unlike Ronald, however, Gorgeous George was actually a competent wrestler, and theatrical "cheating" was his trademark, not his opponents'.
