During the ocean cruise, Sandy (Jayne Mansfield) sends a telegram announcing her pregnancy to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Peers in Texas. The Peers were Mansfield's actual mother and step-father.
Jayne Mansfield's nude spread for Playboy to promote the film led to Hugh M. Hefner getting arrested by Chicago vice squad.
During a wedding shower, the ship's effeminate hairdresser Babette (female impersonator T.C. Jones) mimics Jayne Mansfield, much to the delight of Sandy (character played by Mansfield herself).
