Film debut of Chill Wills.
One of over 700 Paramount Productions, filmed between 1929 and 1949, which were sold to MCA/Universal in 1958 for television distribution, and have been owned and controlled by Universal ever since.
The source of the film was a play, "The Comic Supplement (of American Life)," by J.P. McEvoy, which opened in Washington, D.C. on 19 January 1925.
The final scene, on Bissonette's "orange ranch", was filmed at the house and property W.C. Fields was living in at the time of the filming. For his entire life, Fields rented living quarters, adamantly refusing to buy a house or land.
James Burke (Ice Man) is in studio records/casting call lists for this movie, but he did not appear or was not identifiable.
