A second four letter word made it past the censors as well. In the scene where Emil and his gang capture two of the East Side Kids, several shouts are heard as they struggle to escape. As the scene first comes into view, the first shout is a very clear exclamation using a four letter word.
If you listen carefully, you can hear Bela Lugosi sneeze a four letter word ("shit"). Director William Beaudine left it in.
This film would mark the final appearance of Ernest Morrison (Scruno) as an active member of the East Side Gang. Morrison would later appear in Follow the Leader, but only in a flashback sequence using archive footage from Flying with Music.
