Bugs Bunny wears yellow gloves in this cartoon, rather than the white ones that later became part of his trademark image. In one scene, he removes one of the gloves, revealing the grey hand (paw?) underneath.
There are at least three allusions to movie stars. A sign in the shop window mentions Rabbit Taylor, a reference to Robert Taylor. Bugs Bunny does a brief imitation of Katharine Hepburn. Later, he quotes Groucho Marx. ("Of course, you know this means war!") A comic strip character, who is popular in the movies, also gets a reference: Elmer Fudd opens his newspaper, wondering aloud how Dick Tracy made out.
Bugs has a different voice than usual in this cartoon.
This was the first cartoon in which Bugs Bunny had a name.
