Edward, My Son (1949) was a Drama - Black-and-white Film directed by George Cukor and produced by Edwin H. Knopf.
SYNOPSIS
A drama that traces both the rise of a modest, hard-working family man and the decline of his marriage and morals. A happily married man and doting father soon increases his fortune, has an affair with his secretary, and eventually receives a knighthood under false pretenses. His wife, meanwhile, turns into a drunken, bitter person understood only by the family doctor (who has a crush on her). Experimental narrative with characters addressing the camera and the title character referred to in the third person and never seen.
