Corvette K-225 Overview:

Corvette K-225 (1943) was a War - Drama Film directed by Richard Rosson and Howard Hawks (uncredited) and produced by Howard Hawks.

SYNOPSIS

A war film about one of the corvettes that protected Allied supply ships from U-boats. A Canadian returns home after losing a ship to German fire. While waiting for his new command, he meets and woos a woman who lost an older brother at sea and is reluctant to get involved with a naval officer. The captain compounds the situation by taking her younger brother, Paul, with him when he heads to sea in his new boat. There the corvette is beset by storms, shelled by Nazi airplanes, and surrounded by sneaky U-boats. Shot, in part, onboard Atlantic corvettes in combat. An early Mitchum appearance.
