Back Street Overview:

Back Street (1941) was a Drama - Black-and-white Film directed by Robert Stevenson and produced by Bruce Manning.

SYNOPSIS

This tragic period romance jerks the tears with Sullavan as the devoted lover of the man fate refuses to give her, Walter Saxel (Boyer). After bad timing ends their first affair Boyer marries another woman overseas (O'Day), unaware that Sullivan has remained faithful. When he returns he realizes his mistake. Sullavan rejects her kind suitor (Carlson), preferring nothing at all to the wrong man.
