SYNOPSIS
Screen adaptation of Rose Franken's successful Broadway drama of the Hallam family, featuring several members of the original theater cast, including Hamilton. Hayes brings subtlety to the character of Stella, newly married to Victor Hallam (Montgomery). The couple returns from their honeymoon to a life dominated by Stella's new in-laws, especially the self-serving and regimented social routines of Mom Hallam.
