Along with John Rae, he is one of only two actors to appear in one of the three 1950s BBC "Quatermass" serials to reprise his role in the subsequent Hammer Horror film adaptation. He played Vicar Gilpin in both the television version of "Quatermass and the Pit" (1958) and the film version Five Million Years to Earth (1967).
