A Jewel Production. Universal, not owning its own theater network, devised a 3-tiered branding system to identify and sell its product: Red Feather (low budget programmers), Bluebird (mainstream releases) and Jewel (prestige pictures produced to potentially command higher roadshow ticket prices). This branding system would fade away by late 1929.
